Culver City, California
The Baxters was primarily filmed in Culver City, located in Los Angeles County, California. Many of the outdoor sequences of the series were shot in the city. Part of the Los Angeles Community College District, the institute is located near Grant High School.
Established in 1949 and moved to its current 105-acre site in 1951, it’s commonly known as “Valley College.” Accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, it serves the community effectively. Another site in Los Angeles that features in the show is the Congregational Church of the Chimes.
The church is situated at 14115 Magnolia Blvd in Sherman Oaks. Founded in 1948, it embraces diverse spiritual backgrounds and fosters a welcoming atmosphere for all. Additionally, the Baxter family house shown in the series is a property located at 246 South Irving Blvd. Spread across an area of over 3,400 square feet, the house has four bedrooms and bathrooms with features like hardwood flooring and a fireplace. Los Angeles is the base location of Hollywood, and it makes sense that a majority of films and shows are filmed here every year.
