Baby Reindeer is finally streaming on Netflix. The British drama, created by and starring Richard Gadd, revolves around a writer and performer who is obsessively stalked by a woman, which ultimately leads him to face his dark past trauma. Will Baby Reindeer Return with Season 2?
Sadly, Baby Reindeer will probably not be back with a season 2. However, the end of the show does not mean that it did not generate enough curiosity or ratings. The show was also labeled as a mini-series, in which the complete storyline is fitted into one season. And hence, all the plot points have been covered in season 1 itself and there are no more arcs to cover in season 2.
The series is based on a one-man stage play of the same name performed by Richard Gadd, the whole of which has been adapted into the first season. Hence, Baby Reindeer has reached its conclusion with the end of season 1. Who is in the Cast of Baby Reindeer?
The series stars Richard Gadd as writer and performer Donny Dunn, with Jessica Gunning portraying the role of his stalker Martha. The show also stars Danny Kirrane as Gino, Nava Mau as Teri, and Tom Goodman-Hill as Darrien. The rest of the cast includes Hugh Coles, Chloe Driver, Jamie Michie, Daniel Fearn, Joe Bone, and Charlie Bentley.
Gadd also serves as an executive producer on the series along with Petra Fried, Ed Macdonald, and Matt Jarvis. Baby Reindeer was announced back in December 2020 with Clerkenwell Films and Matthew Mulot on-board as producers. Weronika Tofilska was selected as the director in August 2022, with Josephine Bornebusch announced as an additional director in March 2023. The show was filmed in the UK from August 2022 to March 2023.
