Hit Man had a limited release in May this year and got rave reviews from audience and critics. The film is now about to stream on Netflix, reaching a wider audience. The movie stars Glen Powell as Gary Johnson, a part-time staffer with the New Orleans Police Department who poses as a hitman and ends up falling for the woman who hired him. Apart from the story, the film has also been praised for its vibrant visuals, which take to the subject of the filming locations of Hit Man.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Hit Man was filmed in the city of New Orleans in Louisiana. Since the premise of the film is set there, the production team chose the same city to shoot the project. A number of locations from New Orleans can be spotted in the film, including Robert E. Lee Boulevard and the Lee Circle, which earlier housed the Statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

Hit Man Filming Locations

A few scenes were filmed at the University of New Orleans, situated at 2000 Lakeshore Drive. It is a large public university with many graduate programs. It offers unique degrees in engineering, hospitality, and urban planning. The main campus is on Lake Pontchartrain and has a research park nearby.

Pho Bang Restaurant, located on Chef Menteur Highway also appears in the film. Another restaurant that features in the film is the Please-U-Restaurant at 1751 St Charles Avenue. Some sequences were filmed at Calhoun Street. New Orleans has also hosted the filming of several other films and shows as well.

These include Kinds of Kindness, True Detective, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, American Horror Story, Where the Crawdads Sing, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Baby Driver, Logan, The Killer, Django Unchained, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, Pretty Baby, Jurassic World, Daisy Jones & The Six, Fantasy Island, Deep Water, Now You See Me, and Mayfair Witches.
