Essex County, New Jersey

I Saw the TV Glow Filming Locations

A portion of I Saw the TV Glow was filmed in Essex County, located in the northeastern part of New Jersey. The filming particularly took place at the Verona High School in the city of Verona and at the Cedar Grove High School in Cedar Grove. Verona High School, situated at 151 Fairview Avenue, Verona, is a public high school accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission. Cedar Grove High School, on the other hand, is situated at 90 Rugby Road, Cedar Grove. The building of the school was constructed in 1962 at a cost of $1.5 million.

Monmouth County, New Jersey

I Saw the TV Glow Filming Locations

Some sequences of I Saw the TV Glow were filmed in Monmouth County, a county in the central part of New Jersey. The Keansburg Amusement Park in Keansburg was utilized as a filming site for a few scenes. The park, located at 275 Beachway Avenue, features dozens of rides. Another prominent location from Monmouth County that features in the film is The Saint, located in the city of Asbury Park. It is a music venue that was founded by Adam Jon Weisberg and Scott Stamper in 1994. A number of bands and singers have performed at the venue over the years including Jewel, April Smith and the Great Picture Show, The Lemonheads, and The Duke Spirit.

Morris County, New Jersey

Morris County, a county in northern Jersey, also served as a filming location for the movie. The cast and crew were spotted filming some important scenes at Camp Lewis in Rockaway Township in the county. It hosts the Cub Scout Resident during the summer and features a 2-acre lake. The shoot also took place at another amusement park, The Funplex, located at 182 NJ-10, East Hanover. The indoor amusement centre is known for games like go-karting and laser tag.

Other Locations in New Jersey

A few scenes of I Saw the TV Glow were taped in Passaic County, particularly at Corrado’s Market, 201 Berdan Avenue, Wayne. Interestingly, the market shut down in July 2023, just a few months after the shooting of the movie. It was opened in the late 2000s by the Corrado family. The shoot also happened in the township of Roselle Park in Union County, New Jersey. The production crew were seen filming at Pump it Up, an amusement park for kids’ birthday parties, located at 158 East Westfield Avenue, Roselle Park.
