Hulu’s Under the Bridge tells the horrific true story of the murder of Reena Virk that took place in Canada in 1997. The 14-year-old girl was beaten and killed by six teenagers in Saanich, British Columbia. Where was Under the Bridge Filmed?

While the real incident took place in Saanich, a municipality on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, the filming of Under the Bridge was carried out in the Greater Vancouver region in BC. While both Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver are situated in the same province of BC, the latter is located on mainland Canada, while the former is a 300 km long island situated 76 miles southwest of Vancouver City.

The cast and crew of Under the Bridge were spotted filming across various spots in Greater Vancouver from December 2022 to April 2023. Some sequences of the series were shot at Allied Shipyard, located at 1870 Harbour Road, North Vancouver, a city and suburb of Vancouver. A number of important scenes were also filmed at the Whites Studios Fraserwood. The studio is situated at 22031 Fraserwood Way, Richmond. Richmond is a city within the Greater Vancouver region, located at a distance of 8 miles from the city of Vancouver.

Whites Studios Fraserwood, also called the William F. White Fraserwood Studio, is spread over an area of 119,000 square feet. The studio features five sound stages, along with additional facilities like a paint shop and a mill shop. It also has a wardrobe unit, multiple production offices, and parking space for the crew. Apart from the above spots, several outdoor sequences were shot in Vancouver, especially over different bridges.
