Shruti Sharma as Saima in Heeramandi: All About the Talented Actress

Before impressing everyone with her role as Saima in Heeramandi, Shruti Sharma had worked in several television shows and also a couple of movies, proving her versatility time and again. Born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on July 5th, 1994, Shruti stepped into the world of showbiz as a contestant on the Star Plus reality show India’s Next Superstars in 2018. She won the title of ‘second winner’ in the show, judged by Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty, for her outstanding performances throughout the journey.

Saima Heeramandi

Shruti made her acting debut with the Colors TV show Gathbandhan in 2019, where she played the role of ACP Dhanak Parekh Jadhav. The same year, she also made her full debut with the Telugu mystery comedy Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya opposite Naveen Polishetty. The film was a box office hit, and the actress was praised for her role as an assistant detective.

In 2020, Shruti ventured into the fantasy genre by starring in two supernatural television shows: Nazar 2 and Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka! The former, where she played the lead as Daivik Palak Verma Chaudhary, was wrapped up early due to the advent of the Covid pandemic. Shruti then received major praise for her leading role as Kahani Verma Rajput / Chamcham in Colors TV’s Namak Issk Ka. She took the major challenge of playing an item dancer, something not many actresses had done on television. The show proved her matte as an actress and made her a household name. 

Saima Heeramandi

In 2021, Shruti was seen in the Netflix black comedy drama film Pagglait starring Sanya Malhotra. She essayed the role of Nazia Zaidi, Sandhya’s best friend who supports her unconditionally. Apart from the above projects, Shruti has also been a web series titled Blockbuster Zindagi and a music video Main Hua Tera, both of which were released in 2018. 

The actress enjoys a huge following on social media as well, having over 1 million followers on Instagram, which is now probably going to increase further with her breakthrough as Saima in Heeramandi.
