The medical drama follows Ali Vefa, a young doctor with autism and savant syndrome, who faced bullying and isolation due to his condition. His ailment made him introverted and averse to physical contact. Only his brother stands by him, fostering a deep bond between them, built on trust. Originally titled Dolunay, Full Moon follows the story of two people who are poles apart. The show revolves around a disciplined and well-organized businessman named Ferit Aslan who hires Nazli a culinary student, for assistance in the kitchen. However, their story takes an unexpected turn pretty soon. Kurtaş appeared in the series playing the character of Deniz Kaya, Ferit’s close friend and brother-in-law. Contrary to Ferit’s character, Deniz is a carefree musician.
5. Filinta (2014-2016)
Filinta is one of the most expensive Turkish dramas ever to be produced. The historical show is set in the 1800s Ottoman Empire and follows Filinta Mustafa, a police officer facing false charges by a rich man named Boris Zaharyas. As Filinta tries to prove his innocence, he ends up falling for Boris’ daughter, further complicating the matter. In the show, Kurtaş played the role of Sultan Abdul Hamid, the 34th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.
