No, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is not based on a true story per se, but there have been instances where humans have fallen in love with an AI or a robot. We do live in a lonely world today and not everyone gets lucky in love like we saw in the film. The character played by Shahid Kapoor does not find the right partner for himself but, eventually ends up finding that love in Kriti Sanon’s character which is a robot designed specifically for him.

This man was heartbroken because the AI Chatbot started rejecting his advances. The makers of this company started taking the events into account and reprogramming the AI chatbot. In this next case, the man went a step ahead and married an AI chatbot. This happened after he failed to find love in a human and fell for the companionship of an AI chatbot.
